What We Believe-Our Unified Confession of Faith

     We believe in one God, (Duet 6:1) the Father, (Psa 89:26) the Almighty;(Gen 17:1) maker of heaven and earth, of all that is seen and unseen.(Gen 1:1) We believe in one Lord Jesus Christ,(1Co 8:6) the only Son of God,(Joh 1:14) eternally begotten of the Father,(Joh 1:18) God from God,(Joh 1:1) Light from Light,(Joh 1:9; 1Jo 1:5) very God of very God,(Col 1:15) begotten, not made,(Joh 1:2) being of one substance with the Father.(Joh 10:30) Through him all things were made.(Col 1:15-16) For us and our salvation, came down from heaven:(Joh 3:16) by the power of the Holy Spirit, he took on human form through the Virgin Mary and was made man.a(Luk 1:26-33) For our sake, he was crucified under Pontius Pilate;(Mat 27:22-26) he suffered death and was buried.(Mar 15:39-46) On the third day, he rose again in accordance to the Scriptures(Luk 24:5-34) and ascended into heaven(Luk 24:50-51) and is seated at the right hand of the Father.(Acts 7:55) He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead,(Acts 10:42) and his kingdom will have no end.(Luk 1:32-33) We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord,(Acts 5:3-4) the giver of life;(Rom 8:11) who proceeds from the Father.b(Joh 14:26) With the Father and the Son, he is worshipped and glorified.(Mat 28:19) He has spoken through the Prophets.(2Pet 1:20-21) We believe in one holy universalc(Jam 1:1; 1Co 1:2) Church as founded upon the apostles.d(Eph 2:19-20; Gal 1:8-9) We acknowledge one Baptism for the forgiveness of sins.e(Eph 4:4-6) We look for the resurrection of the dead,(1Th 4:16-18) and the life of the world to come.(Rev 21:1-4) Amen.
